@NEStalgia Yeah well they never took care of it. I contacted them several times they said they shipped it but I never got it. So I am guessing it got lost somewhere in the mail. They refused to refund my money because according to them they sent it. I got tired of fighting them so I just was out $40. But I will never do business with them again and urge others not to. They are just a bunch of crooks.

@NEStalgia Score -1 for your research skills. I've found there whereabouts mentioned on the site in under 1 minute. Their warehouse and office is located in Belize, Central America, so there goes that theory...

And it's nonsense that them selling games for under MSRP is shady. It is so, SO simple to understand:
they buy in bulk, so they can sell for less. I used to buy boxed Xbox 360 games for almost half the price online, at various sites. It's just a matter of them taking a little less profit per copy, but selling more and as such still making a healthy profit in the end.

The Switch thing does still sound weird, but other than that, nothing on that site bothers or surprises me, since I've seen it all before, and I know it's just a normal day at the office for sites like these.

But like I said in my previous reply: if you want to get to the bottom of this, perhaps it would be interesting to email them and find out how and why they chose for this rather non-standard method. There's gotta be a point to it, otherwise they would probably have done it differently.

@ThanosReXXX @NEStalgia
They may buy the game directly from the Nintendo eshop in India where it is super cheap due to the exchange rates and give you the account.
Or they have Indian voucher codes where they just redeem it. Nintendo codes are not region free!

belmont

NEStalgia

@Belmont Codes are not region free, but why provide an account with every key instead of just selling keys that are good only on the Indian e-shop and instructing customers to create an India region account so you can put all your purchases in one place rather than one account per game? Users creating JP accounts to access the JP eShop are common and don't violate any TOS, I can't see how creating an India one would. Of course with that logic you could just buy your own games on the Indian eShop without the middle-man, assuming you could read Hindi, and assuming you could find a place that sells India eShop cards....which would make sense for this store to provide.

@Tasuki did you ship it with insured/tracked shipping method or the basic free shipping? If it was the untracked free shipping and they did ship it, then they're actually right, that's what happens when it gets lost in the mail with most sellers (Amazon and such covers it for items they ship, but 3rd party sellers on Amazon shipping postal, it's up to them.) So, yeah, unfortunately, if it's tracked you'd have to fight with the transportation company (or maybe Play Asia would), but untracked, it's an As-Is arrangement. P-A is definitely legit though, not a scam company. May not be the most consumer friendly policies, but definitely legit. Like GameStop and GAME.

@Thanosrexxx yeah I didn't spend long looking but it wasn't on the about or contact pages, so I'm not sure where you found it...I didn't check the FAQ.

These stores will sometimes buy in bulk for console, specifically physical code-cards through distributors in various locales, but most of what they do is currency conversion games like day trading. Plus wholesale buybacks of expired retail code-cards and such. Questionable in terms of TOS, but nothing criminal. Selling accounts though.....

There's probably a reason they're the only site I've heard of so far selling Switch "keys" (but not keys) at all. Nintendo is clearly much more regional with tight control of their distribution than others. I'm guessing Nintendo distributors that are leaking codes out the back door below MRP don't remain distributors for long. This is the same Nintendo that cut off Amazon France for discounting Switch hardware too low. You'll sell Nintendo at full price or you won't sell Nintendo at all. Even if you're Earth's Last Retailer.

@belmont Could be a possibility. Good point.

@NEStalgia Yeah... Nintendo is still behind the times in that respect, and a bit too much of "we're plotting our own course, and if you don't like it... " etcetera....

The whereabouts info can be found on their "About" page. It's near the top of the page, right under "What exactly does CJS CD Keys sell?"

@ThanosReXXX Ahh I see now, I was looking for a formal address block. They list the city just in passing text in other paragraphs but no actual address block. Though not listing a mailing/HQ address specifically to verify doesn't install confidence

Technically Nintendo's not in the wrong...the whole point of regional pricing is to account for the differing economies. Allowing people to just buy things from anywhere just means people buy from the cheapest economy defeating the entire business model. I can see what that's something to prevent.

However, that's exactly how global business itself operates. That's the entire point of "globalizing". If they can abuse conversion rates to operate efficiently and consumers cant, that explains right there half the world's problems: "We want globalism but only businesses and therefore investors may benefit from it and consumers must simply pay their assigned price for their market." It's funny how quickly business seems to hate the idea of a global economy and try to prevent it when it's the consumer leveraging the benefits of the market instead of a buffet for investors.

Almost smells of a planned economy.

@NEStalgia Meh, I think that's bull. You can email them, call them, request a ticket, and their track record is A-okay. Just one faulty thing happening to someone does not a shady web shop make...

@ThanosReXXX They may be perfectly legit for Steam keys. But any shop selling accounts with a game on them (and providing wrong information of how to use the account: what they describe you can not play it on your own account. You'd have to make theirs the primary, and it only contains one game at a time.) is definitely not a place to touch for Switch. They also say you'll get your achievements......which Switch doesn't even have....

@NEStalgia There's more than Steam there: also Playstation and Xbox stuff, so only the Switch part of it is questionable, if even that. I'm sure they have their reasons, but seeing as the rest of the stuff is the exact same as you would find on any other digital key selling site, I think it's safe to say that they're trustworthy enough in general.

But again: if it bothers or puzzles you that much, make a ticket with a query to get some more information from them concerning this topic. Personally, I'm not too bothered by it. Especially since even if I would have had a Switch, I wouldn't have bought digital titles for it anyways, unless it was the only option for certain titles.

Just an update to the situation with cjs cd keys: I contacted their customer services team and they provided me with a new account to access the game with; which didn't work first time, but 2nd time's a charm. So I now have access to FIFA 19, for how long who knows...but I'm glad I got in touch with them.

@Rich10 did you care to ask about why you need a new account and don't just get a key?

Hey guys,
Just bought Diablo 3 from this site. Had some trouble signing into the account they gave but that's all fine now. Just waiting on the game to appear in the download list. My question to anyone in the know is how long does the game take to appear? it says on the site up to 12 hours which seems a bit odd as that suggests the game isn't actually purchased; maybe they are creating a unique account for that game and using a code to then unlock the game. Not entirely sure how it works but as long as it does I'm fine with it.

@toiletduck

I didn't no, but will if it happens again, and I'll just be requesting a refund too.

@Rich10 hey, don't know if you read my post but I'm still waiting for diablo 3 to appear. How long did it take for fifa to turn up for you? I wonder if they don't work weekends but that's would be a bit rubbish. I've emailed them twice and still no reply...

ryanx909

Rich10

Hi @ryanx909 my delivery took around 12hrs each time, both overnighters (the 2nd time was during the weekend), so it was frustrating.

Did you quote your order ID in the email?

My game also installed itself automatically. I hope you get it applied to your account soon, let us know how it goes.

Hey @Rich10 still waiting as I write this. I'm working a night shift though so will be checking every hour or so. Yeah I quoted the order ID and I've mailed them three times now and still only had the automated response from the first mail.
I'll keep you posted though.
Cheers 😊

@ryanx909 out of interest which email address did you use?

@Rich10 I raised a ticket on their site as per their instructions. I've had an email this morning saying thanks for the purchase and please complete a survey. Not had a chance to check yet so maybe that's a sign it's now ready to go...

ryanx909

@Rich10 nope. Still waiting and no response from them 🤔

Following this thread with interest. Daft question, but is there any way to delete the Trojan horse account and keep access to the game? A £25 discount on Smash Bros is pretty tempting, but I am not that comfortable with how this service works.
