So, I began this new year as the happy new owner of a Nintendo Switch I got for Xmas. So far I have Mega Man Legacy Collection, Mega Man 11, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, and Super Mario Bros U Deluxe. There's so many games I want like Mario Odessy, Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Bayonetta, Kirby Star Allies, Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze, Octopath Traveler, etc. Ahhhh! I just don't know where to start!! lol I know there's also the indie games like Celeste, Shovel Knight, etc.
Well, I'm a new adopter myself: bought my Switch on the 28th of December, and so far, I've only bought Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey and Golf Story.
A good thing to know is that there's a LOT of free demos in the eShop, even for Nintendo's own titles, such as ARMS, and then there's also the free to play games, of which there are also quite a few, so if I were you, I'd check out those two options as well.
The demos give you a nice preview on what to expect from the full titles, and the free games, well... are basically free forever. A number of them have in-game purchases, but that isn't a necessary thing in most cases.
Either way, if you'd want to add one more title, I'd go for Super Mario Odyssey, and then add some demos and free games to your game list, and combined with the games that you already have, you'll be good to go for quite some time to come...
EDIT:
Oh, and there's also a demo of Octopath Traveler, so you can keep yourself busy with that as well, before you buy the whole game, or use the demo to see if you really like it enough to buy the full version.
@ThanosReXXX Thanks for the tips about the free demos/games, I just downloaded the Octopath Traveler demo and it is amazing! I know for sure I will be getting the full game soon. Honestly I prefer getting physical games, I guess that's just the kid in me having that feeling of unwrapping the plastic to open the game, lol.
Do you know anything about 1-2 Switch? I know it's meant to be a "party game" or similar to the original Wii game lineup where it gets you used to using the Joy Cons, do you think that game is worth owning?
@PrinceAli89 : 1-2 Switch is merely okay for what it is (I've used it in a social environment maybe TWICE in the two years that the Switch has almost been on the market for). But there is so much better out there, including Super Mario Party and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"
My only words of wisdom/warning is enjoy the game you have now as it’s so easy to get a back log and not finish games at all. All the games you mentioned I would highly recommend plus I’d throw in Diablo 3 and Hyrule Warriors too.
@PrinceAli89
Find the games you like most.
Find out which games that quickburst (better played for waiting something, between 5 - 10 minutes) or long gameplay ( 1 - 2 hours)
If you like long gameplay games, try RPG, Action, Platformer, Adventures, Strategy genre.
If you like short gameplay games, try Puzzle, Party, cheap indies.
Id recommend messenger and shovel knight but you have enough platformers.. with that said, id go for hyper light drifter/blossom tales if you like zelda games or splatoon 2 for some multiplayer fun
