I doubt it. EA have only announced FIFA for now (and that looks to be a phoned in release). Someone mentioned that they heard that EA were contractually obliged to produce at least one FIFA game for any new console, which would explain EA going through with the Switch release (with more fanfare from Nintendo than from EA themselves). If EA are happy with the sales figures, then perhaps we may yet see subsequent instalments of FIFA on Switch, as well as any future instalments of EA's more popular franchises, including Need For Speed.
Short of a late port a la Most Wanted U, Payback will not be coming out on Switch, unless EA have some Switch titles to announce at E3.
If it's true that EA are waiting to see how FIFA sells before committing to any other games then we won't be seeing anything else from them until the second half of 2018 at the earliest. The Switch will have been out for well over a year by that time. I can't imagine a company like EA jumping in with support that late in the day. If FIFA sells well enough we'll probably get a squad update sold as a new title next year and that will be it. Either that or EA aren't really just waiting to see how FIFA does and already have another game or 2 in development. If FIFA flops then those other games may not see a release. That's my take on it anyway.
@OorWullie I doubt that EA is stupid enough to assume that the users who buy FIFA are the same as those who buy Need for Speed.
Maybe (just maybe) developer see things based on how many switch sold? Just like Wii. It doesn't matter the console is underpower or not. As long as the console sold out like a hot cake then they will make or port a good game into it.
So many rumor regarding AAA game coming to switch at E3, like Final Fantasy 7 remake, Call of Duty WW. I hope all of it are true. So switch sales can race to 50 mil unit :3D
EA making a racing game for Switch is significantly unlikely. Intensive graphics are considered necessary for racing games, which makes it even less likely.
They already said FIFA is their only plan, and I already know if its not the best selling version by some margin it will be their only investment.
And that wont happen, because even if every single Switch owner bought it, it wouldn't outsell Xbone/PS4 versions, and theyd just say the series fans lie elsewhere.
