Topic: Friend code help

Quick question. My brother plays Zelda on his wiiu and I have my switch. Is there anyway for us to be online friends? I can't add him because his friend code is sooo different. His is a word and a couple numbers. My friend code is a huge number. Maybe we can't add each other cause we are on different systems but I thought all Nintendo accounts were linked...

I don't believe you a friend list that works across consoles. Each console has a friend code. Correct me if I'm wrong.

it still baffles me nintendo is using friend codes, yet the WiiU does not. they went backwards.

I thought the Wii U did too. I never added anyone on it though. Most people I know play on Xbox.
