The title pretty much says it. Which game should I buy for Switch, Cave Story + or Axiom Verge? I have ~$25 left on a GameStop gift card and I’m agonizing over this decision! I’ve never played either game. I’m leaning towards Cave Story, but is it really worth the increased price on Switch compared to the other versions of that game, like the one on 3DS?
Reviews aren’t helping much, so any advice on this is much appreciated!
I absolutely love Cave Story but you can always play the original freeware game on PC. The later versions added a lot but it's still a good way to experience the game or at least try it out and see how you like it.
I bought Axiom Verge when it came for Wii U but I haven't played it for more than 30 minutes. I didn't have time to play it and now I find it hard to go back when I can get it for Switch. It's said to be a really good game as well. I doubt you can do wrong with these two choices.

I'd never played Cave Story either, so I bought the Switch version. It's not a long game, but in my opinion it's fantastic and completely worth the money.
