Lol ok, I feel like I'm trying to be recruited for some kind of movement.

As I stated earlier, I really liked the demo. It was very short, but gave you an idea what the game is about. How many stages are there in the full game?

One thing that I guess will take some time getting used to, is the pointer when playing in docked mode. In portable mode you use the touchscreen, but docked you need to use a pointer instead (which seems to be connected to the motion controls). But I guess it will work fine once you get the hang of it.

I have it on Wii U but haven't had the time to play it. I see, though, that Switch version replaces Super Mario 3D World's stages with Super Mario Odyssey ones, instead of adding them to the already existing levels.

So, I have a dilemma, I don't know if I should keep trying to sell my game in order to buy it on Switch, pass on the Switch one or have both in my collection.

How long / worth are the "lost levels"?

Compare the Lost stages from Wii U and the New stages.
If you still fond with Wii U version, better keep it.

The thing is I'm not fond of anything, I haven't played this game because of my backlog. I'm fond of the Wii U, though. Usually when a port doesn't add anything significant I don't sell Wii U games in order to buy Switch versions.

Three years ago: I completed Captain Toad on Wii U. It was a delicious and enjoyable little game, filled with creativity and fun.

Present: I tried the demo on my Switch just in case, but now I want to buy it again! It's just a perfect summer game together with Octopath Traveler!

@Moroboshi876 keep the Wii u version it’s controls feel more suited when playing on the tv or off tv. Switch version is best played handheld.

So I played the demo, and I was wondering, can we turn motion controls off in the full game? It gets annoying. Annoying enough that I might end up passing on the game actually.

Yes just take the switch out of the dock.

Anyway, I preordered the 3ds version.

I've played through both demos several times and I'm just really looking to playing the full game again. I had forgotten what a gem this game is.

Maybe now I'll be able to complete that ridiculously difficult marathon stage that made me throw in the towel.

My copy of the 3DS version is already in transit, so I should be getting it on Monday.

Can’t wait to see what all the other levels look like on the 3DS.

So, is SM3DW the first Mario game to be retconned out of existence?

Well, it would make little sense for toad to go to the sm3dw kingdom and suddenly odyssey levels are unlocked. They had to adapt it.

Both endings are equally valid. They just serve as a way to include the extra levels and to advertise the relevant Mario game.

I guess Nintendo’s also pretending that Partners in Time doesn’t exist either so....

Guess they really wanted to include Bowser Jr as the star of their next sub game.

And with kid Bowser in the same game it would too many juniors walking around.

@Mrtoad @Yosheel I think they'll just add the 3D World stuff to a 3D World port. Something like you beat world 8 and you gain the ability to play some standard levels as Captain Toad including the 4 originally in the Captain Toad game.

They simply removed them from this version because they wanted to add SMO to the mix, it's one of those things where both could not coexist.

If the levels don't return in this game, I highy doubt they will return in other games.

Not a huge completionist, is it true you need all 155 gems just to unlock the final boss level?

Well keep in mind that the gems are kinda the meat of the levels, if you go straight for the star, you'll probably beat each level in less than a minute.

So, what is Amiibo purpose ?
I saw from Youtube, if you scanned Wedding Peach Amiibo, you will unlock Super Mario Odyssey stages.
Is that Optional unlocking or Mandatory ?
