Last Sunday my son’s Nintendo switch was lost and it was not turned into the hotel lobby at the Double Tree hotel in Mcallen TX after being found. Someone by the name Edgar created a new profile on it and has been playing it the last 2 days. Edgar I am guessing from Mcallen TX has been playing FIFA 24. I have a pic to prove it. Please reach out with any information.

@Armando713 Nintendo has a protocol for stolen switches. Call nintendo suppport. Although, I think they are closed for the day and reopen at 9am PT.

The phone number and chat messenger are only accessible/visible on the page when they are open. So, if they're closed, the page won't display the phone number. Open the page tomorrow.

You can purchase a new Switch and then sign into your Account on the new one. Once you do that and after you change the password you can remover the person from your account. Be careful if you have any payment info on the stolen Switch as you might want to change that info as well.

I'm really surprised(baffled?) that North America's Nintendo support page doesn't yield any results for "lost" or "stolen" switch. I'm fairly certain they used to have a page with directions fow what to do. When I google search it, Nintendo UK and another region still have pages for "Lost or Stolen Device".

EDIT: Here's the "lost or stolen" switch page from Nintendo UK, which is likely the same as what used to be on Nintendo of North America's support site: https://www.nintendo.com/en-gb/Support/Nintendo-Switch/Lost-o...

@WoomyNNYes thank you for the feedback. I was able to speak to Nintendo yesterday and they offered some advice.

@Tasuki thank you, I made sure to remove cc information as soon as the hotel mentioned no one turned in the case the switch was in.

@WoomyNNYes Thanks for replying. They did offer some advice on what to do. I asked Nintendo for the gamer information for the person using the switch at the moment but they can only provide that info to the authorities.

@Armando713 That might be the route to go, contact your local police department or the police department in the city where the hotel is and file a report along with all the info you have. They might be able track the hotel records of guest. Also if the hotel has security cameras the police would be able to access them.

At this point NL can't do anything nor can users here help. That is up to Nintendo and Authorities to identify and track down the stolen Switch. So it's best that you contact those support as NL can't do anything about this.
