Hello there. Just recently, I got my own Wii U seperate of my family's. Issue is, I've got a bunch of titles on the family system. I can't do a full System Transfer due to others having users and NNIDs. I thought of deleting my user to free up my ID, but I dunno if I'll be able to redownload my games on my own system (I do know that I wouldn't have the saves, though). I haven't gone through with it because of the horror stories I've heard. I've read that if I were to just delete the user, in 24-48 hours I could put the NNID on my personal system. I just want some confirmation.
I called Nintendo, and it was a very easy process. You just need the serial number that your NNID is currently on, and the serial number of your new Wii U. The call only took a few minutes, and I got a confirmation email a few hours saying that the entire process was complete and that you simply need to log in on your new Wii U using your current NNID.
Bottom line: Call Nintendo, and tell them you want to transfer a single NNID from one Wii U to another.
Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.
Now playing:
Final Fantasy XIV (PC) | The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Switch) | Celeste (Switch)
I think I heard that it will work to just delete your user from that Wii U and bring it to your new one, but I don't know for sure.
Edit: although it doesn't look like that when I went to Nintendo's website here
