Good news, @anicro774 ! All Switch games are region free. You can buy cartridges from wherever you want. Some cartridges may or may not have all languages on the cartridge if cartridge space is tight, or if the language support was added after cartridge production.

If the language is on the cart, botw should default to the language you use on your switch.

Check the cartridge case, game's eshop page, or Nintendo's website page for the game to make sure English is supported. If the language isn't on the cartridge, you can go to the game's eshop page to download the "language pack". I think that's how it works? I haven't had to download a language pack, myself, but I know the ability to download the language packs exists. If the language is supported, you can download it.

Eshop games are region free, too. You can make an account for another region, but you'll also need to use the currency of that region (unless it's a free demo). ***If you have money on your eshop account and change that account to another region you can lose that money. To avoid that, you can make a second Nintendo Account on accounts.nintendo.com.

@anicro774 I couldn't find any listing for Animal Crossing on Nintendo of Korea's website yet, but it looked like most/all of the other first party Nintendo games have English, so it will likely be ok (but you never know).

This is a link to Nintendo of Korea's games database: https://www.nintendo.co.kr/software/software_all.php

There is a filter for language so you can see which games have English. I also live in Korea, but I mostly buy my games from Amazon if I'm going physical, so I haven't had to worry about this issue too much.

@anicro774 : The cartridge will always default to your system language, so if it's English, the software will default to the English version, regardless of the origin of the cartridge; that is of course assuming that the cartridge includes English support. If the cartridge does not support English, then it will likely default to the original language of the software or the language of its intended market.

Check the eShop page to see which languages are supported for the retail release in your region. If the Korean eShop page for Animal Crossing includes English, then the Korean retail release will include English on the cartridge.

Do not blindly buy foreign releases assuming that English is supported as not all of them do.

"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"
