Topic: Xenoblade Chronicles Amazon Listing Question

Now that Xenoblade Chronicles is on the Virtual Console, I was thinking of trying to sell my disc copy to make some money and then buy the VC version (I played it on the Wii U, so my save state should still be there if I do that, right?). I like selling my games on Amazon because I usually get a lot more for them than by trading them in anywhere, but I have a question. There are two listings for the game on Amazon. The one that comes up first raises a lot of red flags to me. It is done by Amazon, which is Amazon allowed to sell it now or is it still a Gamestop exclusive even though it is so old? Also, there is a little logo in the bottom-right corner of the cover with Saudi Arabia and other stuff on it that just screams pirated copy. Also the "B" is capitalized in the name of the game so it's "XenoBlade Chronicles" which is weird. Everything about this seems fake. Then you have to go down like 7 listings past Xenoblade 3D, Xenoblade X, and even Chrono Trigger DS to get to the second one which looks more legit, but it only has a couple of copies whereas the first one has dozens if not hundreds. Also, it has the PAL logo on it and I'm in America with an American version. My assumption is people with even legit copies are using the first one because it looks better at a glance having that Prime logo on it saying Amazon itself is behind it, but I'm not sure. Also, the second listing has higher prices so if it actually sells I would make more with that one. What do you guys think about it?

Selling on Amazon is a very difficult process and to be honest I would just recommend using eBay. Most people who are interested in buying this game will want to know the condition of the game itself before purchasing.

But to answer your question the game being exclusive at time of launch is irrelevant. Any person can sell any game now that they own it and there were several retailers in Canada who are selling brand-new copies of the game as well. In fact there was a recent reprint too.

They take around the same amount selling on eBay as they do AMAZON. Personally I never use Amazon anymore and I always list on eBay which is very easy to do, and you don't have to match up with another listing. Just take a few screenshots add in a description and a title and snap in your asking price. You don't have to sell by auction.

Well, I use Amazon all the time to sell my games and other things, and I think it's great. I just have never found a time like this where the main listing looks so sketchy and makes me wary to list anything on it. I guess I could just put in a very good description (usually I just say something like "it looks and plays great"). I have never sold anything on eBay and only bought something off of it once, but I guess I could look into it.
