Topic: Why I think the Numbers of 3DS XL sold in the U.S are not accurate, Which is preveting the smaller New 3DS from being Sold in the U.S

Anyone notice how much 3DS XL numbers sold went up when Pokemon X/Y, ORAS are released?
By that time period of those 2 game platforms being released more 3DS XL sold, Well the biggest factor is by their time of being on the market only thing on the market was 2DS/3DS XL.

If say a 3DS Pokemon Game/Other Major Nintendo games hit the platform sooner when the smaller 3DS was released the numbers sold would of been much higher and as time passed the XL was released and as such they basically took over.

I mean honestly I think Nintendo should just make a few thousand of the smaller hand held 3DS and sell them off their website to see if their a good market choice or not.

I personally prefer the smaller 3DS it's more portable, Fit's easier in your pocket, has less weight so it does not drag on your pants when it's in your pocket when your running down a block, Plus I fine there is a better screen restitution with the smaller 3DS compared to the XL.

Basically I think the XL sells compared to the normal size 3DS is a bit of a lie when you think of what games were made when the 3ds first hit the market.

I am sure not many people buy a new console right off the bat, When it comes to Nintendo a select group of people tend stick to a series of games and they don't switch to a new console till they have to just to play that series as they go onward, Pokemon is a perfect Example.
B/W/B2/W2 took up most of the span of the 3DS when it first came out but they were all for the 3DS so that large population of Pokemon fans mostly did not find a need to have to buy a 3DS or less they wanted to play some other game that was made for the 3ds.

Then when the Pokemon games for the 3DS the sales improved of the 3DS and since only the XL was on the market thus why the XL sells begin to boom.

Yoshi

Your post doesn't prove that the numbers aren't accurate. Only that the 3DS wasn't given a fair chance to compete when Pokémon games come out (which is a difficult argument to make, I might add).

Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.
Now playing:
Final Fantasy XIV (PC) | The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Switch) | Celeste (Switch)
