@Scrubicius I get invites to join discord...don't even know what it is or how it works. Same with slack. I don't even have social media...

@Severian I would see it more a VoIP App and a portal for gamers. I use it allot to link up with players for NES and SNES games or Switch games in general. Kinda popular now thx to the Corona situation.
Check it out it’s definitely not a Facebook type platform.

Slack is more a business tool like MS Teams.

I’ll just let myself in to this old as balls club, lol.

Old dude story time:

When I was young my parents only let us rent the NES. I’m as happy playing an NES game today as I was back then, excitedly hooking up the rental NES console to my little TV

Time for a nap.

And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)

@Scrubicius Thanks for the invite but I'll also have to pass.

@Apportal I've been very inactive here the last few years. I never got a Switch, and the 3DS seems about dead here. But I look in sometimes to see what's of interest.

I am 43, and started off with Arcades and the Atari 2600. Probably remember pac man as the first game i played, but didn't feel like i became a gamer until the NES came out. Everything changed then

About to hit 40, still playing Mario lol

@NinChocolate hahaha, great story.

I remember begging my parents to rent an NES from our local grocery store. Too funny... getting games and systems to rent from the store while going grocery shopping! Those games mostly still rock too.

@ KBrozov

I was teased my a store clerk at walmart for wanting to buy Mario galaxy when it first came out. I was 28 at the time. I said whatever dude go play call of duty if it makes you feel like a big man.

I don't care how old i get if mario games are still good when I'm 80 I'll still be playing them.

I never played the games in 3D All-Stars before, so just done them all for the 1st time & I'm 45, @Zeldafan79 .... I liked all 3, too!

Well just made 36 a couple of weeks ago...

I started kind of late on gaming as I believe I had a mega drive in 91 and a PC in 94 so my first gaming memories are with Sonic 1 (that I will defend to the grave and the reason why Sonic games were never about got go fast but about go fast after you learn all the shortcuts) and Prince of persia and Wolfenstein 3d.
After that I have only owned another console with the switch as I stayed mostly with the PC but I got in love with Nintendo nonetheless as I played SNES and n64 at friends and mostly by emulation

Why you whipper snappers with your mypods and your online gaming! In my day we played games on our box TV's and if we wanted to play two player we sat there in front of it together like real friends! Oh and what's all this i been hearing about DLC? We had that in my day too. We called it Dusty Lame Cartridges. Now scuse me while i go put in my favorite movie short circuit and fix me a bowl of Count chocula!

@Zeldafan79 @Apportal wish I grew up in the 80’s or 90’s. So much better than things are now. Also I would’ve loved to be there during the SNES days.
