Stumbled on this track from 1971 and couldn't believe my ears.
Had to upload to my youtube account, and came here to share with some fellow nintendo fans

I'm also certain Oh Well, Part 2 was the inspiration for a Zelda theme, but I can't quite place it... Koji Kondo was definitely into 70s funk and rock. Take this song from Deep Purple for example...

For this one you need to listen closely to the bass.

Also, on the topic, the theme of the legend of Zelda was inspired by Bolero, a song they intended to use as the theme to begin with.
