...To record video off of a DVD on the computer's player? Never really thought about it until now...want to record something off of my DVDs that can't be found on Youtube apparently. (well, its there...but crappy quality/no visuals...)

it is possible. however, if you're not ripping from DVDs you've recorded yourself, what you're talking about is too close to piracy for the NL forums, therefore you'll have to google the 'how' of it on your own. :3
