For those who are wondering what this topic is about, it is a topic to discuss anything related to the awesome anime and manga series Fairy Tail. I managed to cacth up to the series (both anime and manga) about half a week ago. I have to say, Fairy Tail is very similar to One Piece, which is a good thing. So anyway, my favorite characters are Natsu, Erza, Lucy, Gray, and Gajeel.

Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
It doesn't hurt to have a discussion about a specific series. Believe me, the anime thread is not a good place to try to have a discussion centered around a specific series. I've seen many try, most fail. Several have tried with Fairy Tail, they just got lost in the stream of discussion.

Agreed, I really wouldn't like to see the One Piece thread locked.

Juvia is Funny and loves Grey.
Erza has her own world in mind, still thinks her first love, and funny, strong character.
Natsu has an idiotic core head, but caring and strong. Also Funny! (Loves Fights)
Lucy is sometimes greedy for money. When mad, hot headed woman, caring and kind. Somehow, strong Celestic.
Grey knows Juvia that she likes him. Has art every time he uses Ice Maker. Doesn't really get along with Natsu when arguments comes.
Gajeel who is a mess up guy (no offense), likes to sing "Shoobi Do Ba". Yet in battles, concentrated.
Happy, weirdo...
Fairy Tail! My favorite characters are probably Natsu and Erza! I've only seen up to episode 60 something. Now that the anime is ending I'll probably finish it.
I watched the English dub of Fairy Tail up until episode 48 or something. I didn't like it enough to continue, though. It's a great show nonetheless.
Good take on magic. Great characters. I'd have to say my favourites are Mirajane, Loke and Lucy.
Say what now?

I'm not really active here anymore. So it goes.
This is a strange thread to bump after all these years, but for once I'm not complaining. I've been watching this show recently, and I'd like a place where I could talkibout it without the "no spoilers" restriction.
I'm up to episode 36, which is part of the arc where we learn more about Erza and her old life. Personally, I'm not too thrilled with this arc so far. The characters are kookier than I'd expect from people who apparently lived hard lives. I just don't find any of them believable, even within the context of the show. Erza's backstory also disappointed me in many ways - mostly that she spontaniously gains a backbone and becomes a leader out of nowhere. Even worse, they finally explained Magic to a certain extent, and as expected, it's a total cop-out ("It comes from the heart!" Ugh, gaining powers from eating devilish fruit made more sense than that, and was a helluva lot more creative, too). I also think I know exactly where the story of this arc is going, too, unlike every other arcs so far, where at least they always felt like they were full of surprises.
I liked the previous major arc way more. The one where Fairy Tail goes up against the Phantom Guild. Story-wise, it was good, especially Mirajane and Elfman's backstories. I'm actually surised Lisanna's death didn't affect Natsu more. Hopefully they'll bring that up later. Anyways, the action was also much better than previous arcs, and was actually really intense from beginning to end. I enjoyed seeing everyone's powers, and I loved all of Natsu's fights. He really stole the show. Only disappointment was that Lucy's backstory was pretty simple, but I don't think that was unexpected. They'll probably expand on it later, anyways. Otherwise, the show really showed promise in that arc, and I hope that promise pulls through at some point, though I'll admit, I'm not holding my breath...
