I believe in Easter and the resurrection but none of my family do, so it's just kinda another public holiday in my household. It coincides with my midsemester break though, so I got to catch up with friends! That was pretty fun.
Also, I don't like chocolate too much (except for super dark) so I try to ignore the egg part of the holiday. Giving out eggs is still fun though!
always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)

thats the ticket, drain all the fun out of it! why limit ourselves to just dress up for halloween, when we can be a bunny on easter and santa claus on christmas? we have options! me personally on presidents day i dress up as a patient waiting at an emergency room that has obamacare.
on thursdays i dress up as a baby that cries while reading there are no new virtual console games, bonnet, milk bottle and all. the only day i dont dress up on is valentines day, actually that is when i dress down, busy day for me

My favorite was on Saint Patricks Day last year, when you dressed up in a leprochaun costume, jumped in the GOLDEN CORRAL chocolate wonderfall, and yelled at approaching customers, "They're always after me lucky charms!"

Yeah, as generations keep rotting away it's getting harder and harder to keep up with old traditions like Christmas & Easter... It's already at that point where nobody would care about them if they didn't get time off work & school for it

How is that any different than commercializing it and making parents feel obligated to spend a ton of money on candy for their kids?
I don't even know how to address that question, I mean if you have a problem with the commercialization of religious holidays then that's an issue, but you don't have to fulfill any obligation you don't want to. Don't buy your kids candy, I could care less. I just think people should let people do what they want if it doesn't affect them, how does the easter bunny and cadbury egg purchases hurt your lifestyle?
Besides that, poking fun at a religious icon at other's expense as opposed to companies cashing in on a holiday for profit, and people willingly subjecting themselves to that with their own money is vastly different.
I'm generally secular and also vegan (no chocolate! no eggs! no deluxe ham!), so I'm at a loss how to celebrate this one. Mostly I hang out and think up egg/rabbit puns.
