I hope this is in the right board-- everything in Help was tech-based.

I know there are some game developers on here, and I'd like to ask the lot of you a favor. For a paper in one of my classes we have to write a research paper on a career that interests us, and that's game programming for me. This includes an interview, which I pasted in below. If you could take a few moments to fill it out it would help me A TON. The responses don't have to be long, just enough to get the idea across. c: (Also, it doesn't matter what platform you work on, or if you work for a big company or are indie. I just need someone who works.)

1. What led you to your chosen occupation?
2. What educational program/major is recommended as preparation?
3. What are your job responsibilities?
4. What is your typical day like?
5. If you were hiring a person for your job, what qualifications would you look for?
6. Could you give me a salary range for your occupation?
7. What do you see as the positives and negatives of your current occupation?
8. What are some other occupations that are closely related to yours?
9. What is the employment outlook for your occupation?
10. What types of technology are used and how are they used?
11. What professional organizations would I benefit from joining?
12. What types of publications do people in your profession subscribe to?
13. How can I best be prepared to write in this particular field? What types of things would I be writing? How does one develop ethos, pathos, and logos when writing/communicating? Are there different audiences/purposes to consider when writing/communicating? Explain.
14. How do people communicate with others in this field (i.e., in writing, orally, verbally, digitally)?
15. What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about pursuing your occupation?

I'd also need to get a consent form signed, which I can e-mail the .pdf file to you to sign electronically or print/scan.
&& if you fill this out, thanks a ton.

I'm not a game dev, but I hope to be after High School. This may or may not help. I am going into game design and storyboard because I love to write. Being able to create my own characters and worlds is awesome, but it isn't easy. Game Designers have to create a world in which their characters make sense and can be influenced by. They also have to plan, my most hated part of the process. I have my own process of writing stories, like my current one, and I start it with a paragraph and go off that. You 1) create a character 2) build a setting 3) give you character a description, then go off from there. From what I know, pay isn't based of degree, but experience in the field. For a college, I recommend you look up Full Sail University. It covers most entertainment fields. Hope this helps a bit!

Do you like videogames? If so, you must know
