This should come as no suprice to people who have seen it. But Gurren Lagann is the pinnacle of anime in my books. I live by the lessons learned through it. Greatest show ever made.
I like Geass, Casshern Sins, Eureka 7, The girl who leapt through time and FLCL as well.

Also, not that i want to voice my negative thoughts. But Evangelion is the worst. I mean it was a totally ok series, but the ending(s) screw it up so bad, i really do not like it one bit. Not a inch of me likes it. I wanted to blow up every Eva Pachniko place when i was in Tokyo, because i dislike it so much. I can not understand why it is so popular.

Everyone hates the ending of NGE. Thats why they did a 2movie remake, which partially healed the ending's wounds. Now, they are making another quadrilogy that remakes the whole series with a new ending, with the first 2 parts done in Japan and the first part coming in December in the US.

No, all endings are horrible to EVA, period.
I will however, out of interest, watch this new ending. But i will expect disappointment.

The ending in the movie (the 2 part one, not the new quadrilogy which I have obviously not seen yet) was far better than the TV series ending. But mostly because it presents the physical things that happened instead of the philosophical metaphors that were the basis of the last 2 episodes. In other words, its mostly the same, but it shows you instead of just going through Shinji's thoughts.

Yea, i figured. Still doesn't change that it is horrible. It is to obscure, and the fact the maker even said "Open to interpretation" just screams cop-out to me.

My favourites are: trigun, Hellsing, Berserk, Ninja Scroll, Mind Games, Genocyber, Blood the Last Vampire, Photon, Fist of the North Star, MD Geist, Akira, Ghost in the Shell... the list goes on and on. I guess i should've listed the ones I don't like, oh well.

Guess what.. I just got the Dragonball Z Season 1 DVD Remastered set today!
I'm starting to collect them now; since I want them instead of my old VHS tapes!
Will be watching DBZ more often now; if I can start buying more Seasons on DVD... since I'm working this summer by cutting grass for $20 a week!
Also still got to get Inuyasha Seasons 1, 2, 5, & 7 on DVD... to go with my other seasons; & so I can watch each season for a full 4th time! Watching them on the laptop doesn't cut it for me!

I'm collecting Dragonball Z DVD sets. I have collected 5 seasons so far.

I used to love Dragonball Z, but I hate how some episodes were dedicated to two people grunting at each other from far away.

But, back in the day when we were younger, grunting was awesome.

I always hated DBZ. Even as a kid, I'd be like "I'm going to watch a show where something happens in this episode."

On the subject of NGE, I saw on www.SciFiJapan.com that the premiere of the english dub of the 1st Rebuild film will be shown on Friday at Anime Expo. Wish I could go just to see it but it's in California and I live in Britain . Oh well.

It's been awhile but I started watching Cowboy Bebop again, picking up from where I left off. I've already made it today from episode 8 to episode 18. I'll finish that in the next couple of days, followed by the film.
Afterwards, I've still yet to properly go through Code Geass or watch Ghost In the Shell 2: Innocence (And the TV Series with the other film) so I'll go to that and I'll look into some of the shows you guys mentioned, like Gurren Laggan, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and Ninja Scroll.

I like Fruits Basket. Hatori and Kyo are so cute.

Not so much anime or manga I'm seeing/reading right now, but I guess my TOP1'll always be COWBOY BEBOP followed by GITS of course ^^
I agree that Naruto the Anime sucks... all those f**** fellers :/ but I recommend the manga!
I could give a few good animes to watch depending on one's personal taste, knowing I hate DB series (except maybe for the first) and other goofy stuff.

I've hit a standstill. I've just watched a few things (Rebuild Of Evangelion 1.0, Ninja Scroll, Cowboy Bebop: The Movie, Sky Crawlers for the 2nd time and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time) and I'm planning to watch Code Geass (still in waiting, got sidetracked with the other stuff) but afterwards, I've got no idea what to watch.

Any suggestions? I need something new.
