Topic: 3DS Memory Card

So, I am going to be upgrading the memory card on my 3DS (an XL, incase it matters).
The problem is, as soon as i started looking around I'm finding SD, SDXC, SDHC cards etc......
Does it matter which one I use?

At Argos a ('SanDisk Ultra') 32GB SDXC card is £19.99; is this a good buy?
I mean, a Sony equivalent on the same site is £50+, and i don't want to buy something 'cheap' for it to give in after a couple of games.

....Don't even know what XC is...o.o
I think I only heard that the system supports SD and SDHC. (High Capacity)

No worries. SDXC has been around since 2009 and has blazing read/write speeds. Though, nobody here needs an SDXC card and it's ridiculously expensive the higher you go in capacity. SDHC is perfect for all if not most of us. I have a 32Gb SDHC card and I bought a new MicroSD card w/ adapter in preparation for the new 3ds.

haha. If you were to go to a forum for camera/photography nuts they would talk all about which XC cards are best and blah blah blah. That's what they are mostly used for. That, and the go pro/video recording guys.

Ok, so a cheaper HC card is more than suitable for the 3DS? 32GB was what I was gong for anyway.

Tell me, can you transfer your downloaded games from the originak 4GB card to the new one?

I believe all you need to do is copy all the files from the old one to the new one on a computer.
