ActImagine studios is the company that creates those videos for the DS. Games like Kingdom Hearts, Kirby and Megaman ZX Advent featured movies created by them. Now that the 3DS is out, what's ActImagine going to do? Are they going to stop making DS movies or are they thinking up something for the 3DS? I doubt the 3DS needs ActImagine's help to make a movie now, though...

According to Wikipedia, ActImagine has more irons in the fire than just their work for Nintendo games. that said, i don't see why anyone'd up and dump 'em now that the 3DS is out — surely they can adapt their stuff to 3D just like everyone else is having to do :3

ActImagine don't make videos. They make software for playing videos on mobile devices. It's the game developers that make the videos themselves, ActImagine's software (most notably, Mobiclip Mobile) just allows them to be played on the DS without Nintendo having to invest in making their own playback codec.
So, presumably, Nintendo'll just extend their license to the 3DS. Or end it if the software is no longer required. Their software is used across a whole range of hardware, from iPhones to PDAs to PC.

Well, yes I'm sure they have more things going on than just Nintendo, but I meant specifically what is the relationship between ActImagine and Nintendo going to be like now? Why should ActImagine make movies if Nintendo and other companies can make their own great cutscenes for their games what with the improved graphical capability of the 3DS and all? In short, what will ActImagine bring to the table that Nintendo can't currently do on their own with their cutscenes?

who said it was all over? unless you've got a guy on the inside, you have no idea whether they're done or not, and honestly, they can just adapt their work to 3D video (if that's even necessary), Nintendo (and other devs) can keep licensing it, problem solved.
