I am excited because Gold was the first Pokemon game I've ever played. I remember watching my bro play Pokemon Blue, and when Gold and Silver came out I finally had one of my own. And I've bought every series of Pokemon yet.

I now have a new avatar, since SS is coming out in a week.

and I already got the pikachu colored pichu. I got it on wifi yesterday. It is pretty cool but do you know if it still activates the event if you evolve it? I'm asking cuz I want a shiny pikachu

@ganondwarf: As far as I know, it will not work. I would just wait until you finish all of the spiky-eared stuff, and then evolve it.

Go ahead and evolve it if you want to ganondwarf, it will still let you get the Notched-Ear Pichu in HG/SS.

I plan on using my Jirachi to trade for a pokemon(In SS), if I am not able to get the one I need soon enough.

i don't know what my team will be but the original was so fun! I still have it! But I can't wait for the updated graphics, Pokemon following behind you like in Yellow, ect.
