But I haven't played a Layton game before, and the Mario & Luigi series is possibly a let-down for me (I HATE TURN BASED RPGs)

That's one of them. I think in the first one it was "Layton's apprentice saves the day!"

Oh. I misunderstood it I guess.

I thought at first he was saying something like "ladies of reginds saves the day!"

That's [exactly] what I thought he was saying! I thought Reginds was a town in England or something

Hey can someone please help me with that puzzle that involves the girl, the dog, and the dad, and their walking speeds? Can't solve that one for the life of me.

What was the riddle again? The dog runs 5ft/s and the dad walks 2ft/s for the girl's every 1ft/s? Was that it? And then, how far does the dog run by the time the dad gets to the girl? I think it takes the dad 10s to reach the girl, and the dog runs 5ft/s.

So, take 5ft/s x 10s and that'll give you the feet that the dog's run.

THANKS! I'll give that a shot. I understood the puzzle, I just couldn't get the math I was supposed to do. That's gonna end up being 50 feet right?
None of the guides online are 100% done, so I couldn't find the answer online. Thanks again man.

I'm stuck on this damned puzzle now where you have to navigate this maze while hitting all the mushroom patches before you hit the finish finish. The b**** about that one is that you have to complete it to progress in the game. Sorry I don't normally curse but nothing frustrates me more than a puzzle I can't figure out. Which is why it's so satisfying when you finally figure out the answer! I swear there is no other game as satisfying as Professor Layton.

Np. Yeah, it should be 50 ft. I hope that's the right answer. Lol. It's been a while since I did that one. And yes, the mushroom puzzle was extremely annoying. That's one of those that I looked at for the longest time, and then it just clicked. The hints were absolutely no help in that one. But is was very satisfying after I'd finally gotten it. =)

EDIT: Oh, man. Just wait till you see the Mathematician's bonus puzzle. That one's nuts to set up, but the last hint practically gives away the answer.

Thanks. Beat the game a few hours ago. Flabbergastingly awesome ending! Seriously, I was blown away.
That mushroom puzzle just ended up clicking with me after awhile (the trick is to narrow down what you CAN'T do) and those Professor-Layton-On-Ice puzzles made me feel way smart. I dominated them without mercy. I knew all those sliding block puzzles in Zelda would come in handy one day!
