If people already haven't already done so, a new Pokewalker course is available to download via Mystery Gift.
Just select Nintendo WFC and you will receive Yellow Forest, where lots of Pikachu are available with abnormal move sets.

Yep, downloaded it this afternoon. But I'm still trying to get the pikachus that know fly/surf. I think you need to walk 10000 or more steps thnough..... ;/

Yeah, there was something screwy with the time of release - guess they wanted to wait until it was April absolutely everywhere or something.

Yeah, 10000 steps for the special Pikachus to become available, or 7500 if you upload a grass, ground or electric Pokemon to your Pokewalker.

Make sure to search for items, too - the elusive Light Ball, which double Pikachu's offensive capabilities and results in Volt Tackle being an egg move if given to a Pikachu you're breeding, can also be found there.

can someone help me read the info in the charts on that site? What does all the info under the pokemon's attacks mean? the on with all that percentage stuff?

How long will we be able to download it?

Sorry if I'm late to post, but it's between April Fools Day to 5th May!

Just say yes, Darnly won't care! Heb!

JayArr

@bboy - The percentages are the chance of that pokemon showing up against how many steps you've taken.

Flying Pikachu
0+ steps: 0% chance
2000+ steps: 0% chance
10,000 steps: 2% chance

Besides Torchic, these are the hardest to catch pokemon on the Pokewalker. So it will take a lot of patience and luck to get one. The only way to tell for sure you actually caught one of the Surfchus or Flychus is to wait for a !!!. Good Luck.

@JayArr: Ok, I think I get it. But if I have my Raichu in the walker whilst trying to catch a special Pikachu, it will then take a minimum of 7,500 steps right?

Yes. Each Pokewalker Course has three Advantageous types. If you upload a pokemon with one of those types it reduces the steps needed by 25%. It also slightly ups your chance of seeing a rare.

As Adamant mentioned earlier, the special types for Yellow Forest are Grass, Ground and Electric.

Also note how the Pokewalker works. When you upload a Pokemon, one wild Pokemon from each of what's called "Group A, B and C" on that site will be selected. After walking 10000/7500 steps, you'll thus be able to meet either a Surfing Pikachu or a Flying Pikachu, but not both. Once you've confirmed (and caught, if it was the one you wanted) which it is, you'll then have to transfer your pokemon back to HGSS and reupload it to the Pokewalker to have a chance of possibly meeting the other.

Ok, now I got it. When you upload to the pokewalker, a Pikachu is selected from group A, B, and C. While in the pokewalker for the time after that, those 3 selected pokemon are the only ones you can possibly see until you trasfer back into the game. Is that the gist of it? Sorry if I'm a little slow on this

Currect.
It's easier to notice in the other courses, since the bloody Pikachu all look the same.

Found it and going to get it. Be ready to trade (thank god I am getting one) but is it a the right nature...
I am looking for a timid one but as long as the nature DOESN'T lower speed or Special attack.
