Topic: I Need Help IV Breeding In Pokemon

I am in the process of hatching a Shuckle with 31 IV's in HP, defence, and sp. defence all at once (31 IV's in three stats in one pokemon.) Is it possible?
My first step is to breed a female, 31 IV'd in sp. defence, Shuckle with a male, 31 IV'd in defence, Shuckle to create a Shuckle with 31 IV's in sp. defence and defence (Shuckle A.)
My second step is to breed a female, 31 IV'd in defence, Shuckle with a male, 31 IV'd in HP, Shuckle to create a Shuckle with 31 IV's in defence and HP (Shuckle B.)
My third, and final, step is to breed Shuckle A with Shuckle B to create a Shuckle with 31 IV's in HP, defence, and sp. defence. So I ask again, is it possible?

Hmmmm.. I breed an Aerodactyl with 30 IVs in everything by doing this , It takes a lot of patience, Tell me how it works out!

yeah it does take a lot of patience.. i've been trying to get my Shuckle A for about a month now.. did you use an everstone and a power item?

Those are both very important. it would be near impossible to do it with out them in fact.

I've been breeding it with the everstone and power item but i can't seem to get my Shuckle A... So I tried without the power item and it still didn't work.. It's frustrating.. I guess i'll keep trying..

When all else fails, use something like Pokésav to alter the IVs. If you don't like cheating, then Power Items are the way to go.

Try taking Leveling up one of the parents, when I was having trouble breeding for my Aerodactyl, This sometimes worked.

I'm legit all the way, no hacks, not even for items or money, although i could, i don't. And both parents are in the daycare so they are leveling up.

I know, But it always seemed to work to take one out and raise it a few levels, When I would hatch around 10 batches of eggs unsuccessfully. And I never hack Also.

EV training is a real pain.
It not fun to do at all, but in the end you get a nice over power poke.

Possible, yes, but you'll need to Power Item both Shuckles, which means you won't be able to Everstone for nature. So you're trying for a 1/32 chance for the correct IV in the third stat, and a 1/25 chance for the correct nature. That's a 1/800 chance of getting both. ...Good luck with that.

(Why are you wanting to do this with Shuckle, anyway? Sure, it has mad defenses but that HP's so poor that even with max def/sdef it's not going to live very long)

@pogocoop: Levelling up the parents affects nothing. You can breed just as well with Lv1s as with Lv100s.

Shuckle's are beast! ;D lmao. I've been doing this so long i hatched a shiny (blue) Shuckle. And in Sandstorm rock type's sp. defense increase by 50%. Power Swap will swap defense and attack stats. Imagine a Shuckle in trick room, Power Swap, and Tyranitar's Sandstream Sandstorm. Plus, In Pokemon Black and White version, the ability Sturdy has a new effect. If the Pokemon with Sturdy has full HP and is attacked by a move that will knock it out (KO it) it will survive with 1 HP. It's a Focus Sash inside an ability.

Does the order in which the parents are placed in the daycare affect the IV's passed down by the parents?? I doubt it but i'm just making sure.

wow, A whole month to get one of the parents? You are definitly doing it wrong. I can get 2 max ivs, nature, ability, and egg moves on to a pokemon in less than a day. Like others said, you should be using the power items/everstones, and having max iv dittos is a must. And Shuckles are great on the right team.
