Topic: DSi Owners: Are you getting frustrated at the lack of a VC?

Yeah....I am Im basically at the point of if I dont hear something pretty soon about a possibility of it coming out I don't want it. I really dont want to hear about another freakin NON game again until I hear about a VC.

I intentionally posted this under DS to find out that if you DONT own a DSi will you buy one if you find out that a VC is coming. Is that the selling point your looking for to upgrade to DSi?

Yes. I've lost the GBA slot(qich i didn't care too much, by the way) and i want something instead, not only the DSiWare.

Yeah, the situation is getting REALLY frustrating. If that which Corbie faithfully believes is true and it IS in fact coming up as leaked, I'm getting REALLY sick of Nintendo pretending it isn't. I don't even necessarily mind if it takes a little while to start for some reason, as long as they'd admit they're working on it!

@Stuffgamer1.....That is all I want also. Im just sick of all the waiting and the SLOW trickle of games to the DSiWare in the process.

Give it some time. They don't announce things that aren't ready.

I don't mind all the waiting. It will probably be a disaster just like this VC on the Wii. Besides if you want some retro-8 bit-happiness on your DSi buy PiCTOBiTS, I did yesterday and I have enough retro for now.

Umm...Wii Sports Resort/Wii Motion Plus was announced a YEAR before release. The Vitality Sensor doesn't seem to be anywhere near ready either. Also see Pikmin 3 and Twilight Princess.

Anyway, once there's been a leak like there has been in this case, it's better for customer relations to admit it's upcoming but not ready than to deny and piss us all off.

How has the VC on Wii been a failure?? On topic though, yes I do want a VC pretty soon. I'm itchin to play Mario Land.

It isn't bothering me really but if/when they do announce it then I'll upgrade to a DSi. Until then I'll stick with my DS phat cause at least i can play GBA games on that. I'm sure this isn't at the top of Nintendos To Do list though, as they aim for the casual market with Apps and non-games I doubt the VC would make much money for them.I know us lot on here would download old games like crazy but in the grand scheme of things were small fry compared to their newer customer base.Thats buisness folks.

@metakirbyknight.....Dude....Pictobits rocks. Love that game. Yes there are some great games available on DSiWare but a VC would be awesome. Especially with the fact that you can hardly find a used vintage game store anywhere. Im actually going vintage game hunting this weekend but it takes driving all day basically digging for gold. You may find something but prob not. I want to be able to just pay and download.

Not really. If it happens it happens. If it doesn't there are other games to play.

Agreed. And eBay is where I get my vintage games. I want one too, I'm all for variety. I'll buy from it. I just have a sneaking suspicion it will have a slow trickle of games.

why not just have a nintendo fan go to NOA's head corter and then go in a comfrence room and present your idea about virtual consol for DSi then nintendo will see that there fans want it and they will get to work on it. its not like asking them right here works. you need to go right to them and ask them!

Actaully it really wouldn't suprise me if someone up there checked these forums regurally. If I was a Nintendo Rep. I would. How else to know exactly what your fans really want than the largest independent Nintendo Forums.

Yes it is. I personally think that there will never be a DSi VC.

I am very upset there isn't a DSi VC yet. A VC would make the DSi an amazing machine, but so far it is a dissappointment.

i wouldn't call it a disappointment, it's just not well-supported by many good games yet
