How do you prefer the controls on 3D games like Super Mario 64 DS? I've been using the stylus in my right hand while jumping using the D-pad. However, that makes for clunky controls, so I'm switching to the stylus in my left hand. This actually reflects the original N64 controller, which had the buttons on the right and the analog stick on the left. It'll take some getting used to, but it might actually prove more convenient.

On Super Mario 64 DS I think the D-pad actually works good with the game. I played through the game 4 times with no problems using the D-pad.

Yeah, I guess the D-pad works well unless you want to run, then the stylus is best.

I had no problems with the control pad either. and pressing Y, (iirc) to run was just like running in the 2D games, so I was happy with the control options

...I dunno, honestly with games like Kingdom Hearts my thumbs started getting sore very soon. I've noticed it when I've played that game (especially when you fight the boss in Neverland, ugh), can't remember about 64 DS though...don't have the game anymore anyway.
