Topic: Will there be Square Enix GB/GBC 3DS VC games?

I've been hoping SE has been looking into their GB/GBC catalogue lately, because i'm so looking forward to ol' squarie re-releasing games like Dragon Warrior 1+2 (aka Dragon Quest 1&2) GBC, Dragon Warrior 3 (aka Dragon Quest 3), Final Fantasy legends 1& 2 and also the Dragon Quest monsters games (although I am aware that Square enix is remaking Terry's wonderland 3D for the 3DS).
Now i'm not doubting they may release some of these games in the future, it's just that I haven't personally seen them add any games to the DSiware/Eshop since Dragon Quest Wars, if i'm not mistaken, so it would be great to at least one SE GB/GBC RPG on the Eshop, hopefully a DQ game, since Dragon quest is one of my favourite series.

If Square Enix decides to support it then we will.

What's Mischief Makers like? it's a N64 game eh? maybe a remake for 3DSware? nah Square enix hasn't announced squat for the Eshop, not even ports of the same ol' FF 1&2, even though I still like playing them occasionally, it does get repetitive not seeing them remake FF5 or 6 for any device so far.

It wouldn't be like SE to turn down free money.

We'll see them on the 3DS eventually, just like we did on Wii.

I believe Square Enix did publish Puzzle Bobble Universe, since they also own Taito. But I hear they are soon-to-be publishing Heroes of Ruin and we are slso getting Theatrythm: Final Fantasy and Japan is getting Bravely Default:Flying Fairy (which I hope makes it out to the west). But apart from those mentioned, i am seeing a lack of VC or 3DSware from ol Squarie and I would really like to replay Dragon Quest 1+2 as i've played they're SNES counterparts and enjoyed them both thoroughly.

I would love if they released Dragon Warrior 1&2 (GBC) on the eShop; it'd be a great excuse for me to play those much beloved classics again.

mmm, yeah I love the original trilogy more than i like the Zenithian trilogy, but I love both and have the DS versions of DQ5 and 6 along with DQ9 as well.

Agreed; i love the Zenithian games (though actually i still need to get 6), but the original trilogy games hold a more nostalgic place for me.

Basically if you took the shaking and throwing enemies parts from Wario Land: Shake It! and told Treasure (Sin and Punishment, Gunstar Heroes) to make an anime parody game out of it.

Also this thread has mentioned Mischief Makers and Dragon Quest Monsters so it is officially awesome.

Square Enix is probably waiting for the 3DS to hit critical mass before it starts releasing games to Virtual Console.

The Wii got a few, so I'd be surprised if the 3DS didn't as well.

Gonna agree with the fish on this one. If we've only just begun getting SE games on the Wii's VC in the past few years, I don't see why SE wouldn't do the same with the 3DS.

Oh thanks kkslider5552000, you are awesome too, but how DO you make an anime parody of a Warioland game, that's pretty much an anime/hand drawn game already? oh well I guess I have some understanding about what you mean, heh...

well I meant it has similar gameplay...but nothing else. Obviously...since the game came out like a decade before that Wario game.

It's kinda too unique to think of anything more similar. And it's not like ALL an anime parody game but that's what sticks out about the story.

Already made a thread about this, although it only covers Dragon Quest. I'd like to think that they would add their games eventually, but it doesnt look good so far :/
