Topic: Saving at the end of Ocarina of time 3d?!

Hello all, im new to this forum. I beat OoT as a kid but never played it again after lol. Well after i beat the game on 3DS it dumped me in the menu to do Master Quest. Thenn when i went back to my old file it just dumped me back in the entrance to the castle. So i went through the castle all doors were unlocked, but when i got to the top the final fight starts. Is this normal? If i leave to do the boss challenge will i be able to do gandorf? and importantly did my completion of the final fight save? Thanks for the help in advance. Also i apologise if this is posted in the wrong place.

other than the fact that your games knows you beated the game, your game does not save after you beat the game, it's the same for most zeldas, you can go back and defeat ganon again all the times you want (to see the ending again) or go for a 100% game if you already didn't.

Remember the ending.... Zelda sen't you back to the past and nothing really happened.
Also, we know what young Link did after OoT (Majora's Mask).

Yes, that's normal — many games are the same way, you don't save after the final boss so you can enter the final battle anytime from your last save.
