So my Nintendo 3DS grey circle pad cover is cracked along half of the circumference.
Nintendo says the only option is to send the whole system in for repairs (Though it doesn't need any)
I was thinking instead I could just peel off a cover from a circle pad pro and put it on the 3DS but does anyone know if that will work?

My circle pad cover fell off today too. Ive placed it back on but it continues to slip off after a few minutes of use. It's not ripped at all so I wonder if maybe it also had some sort of sticking adhesive. Regardless, I was on planning to upgrade to a XL so I'll let it be for now.

Well my circle pad cover has come off 2 times before. Each time I stuck it back on and it stayed there for a few more months.
I did adjust how I use it after it fell of the first time though, I pushed inward more so it would stick more securely.
But now it's cracked, looking over what I know it seems that it would be possible to put one on from a circle pad pro if I was careful. But I'm seeing if anyone else has any info first.

@TheLilK98 Well if it means anything, mine got scratched up a bit in march when I was playing Luigi's mansion with long nails. Had little dents on the side but it didn't start ripping until recently.
I've also had mine since March 2011 btw

It just had a few small nubs around the circumference.

Also for anyone who's wondering, it looks like the Circle Pad Pro has a different circle pad, one without a cover. It doesn't look exactly like it does on the box. In short it won't make a replacement as far as I can tell.
