Hey all,
I was wondering- I really like the FF series and thought it would be nice to give final fantasy explorer a go. thing is, Im kind of a single player type of gamer- I prefer playing solo, going through the story and stuff.
should I bother with this title if I have no intention of using its onlite options? does it have any content beside the multi?
Pretty sure you can - but you're just making it vastly more difficult for yourself. They mentioned you can grab monsters to fill the slots other players would fill. But I doubt that'll be an effective substitute for people who can think and plan.

Mainly play on my Switch but I have 3DS, Wii U and PS4 as well.
Fave game series include: Pokemon, Smash Bros, Splatoon, Disgaea, Bayonetta, Dragons Dogma, Phantasy Star & Arena of Valor.
@Rhydas: So in other words, its pretty much fighting alongside bots instead of people (in case youre playing solo). I wonder how much can it affect the difficulty and if the game itself will be fun to play alone.
on the other hand, I got great other games around the corner, like bravely second and legend of legacy. I guess those types of games are better suited for single play

Definately looking for this one and the online mode - I don't have enough time to spend a hundred hours on Monster Hunter, and this one looks much more simple and easy to get into. I saw some videos and apparently things just get a bit harder, with higher HP, so you should be able to level up accordingly,

@VoltageX: I'm sure there will be an offline story mode you will be able to play quite a while. I think the game is going to be more like Phantasy Star Online than like Monster Hunter. As far as how the quests go I don't know if it's like PSO where you can do all the quests offline single player. Or if it has a full set of new quests. I do know you will be able to build a team to help you in offline
Still playing 3DS but will have Switch soon for multiplayer with friends. I miss you guys! Adam, Joni, Gavin and the rest of the Blue Rogues from the Phantasy Star Zero Days.

I agree, I don't have enough time to catch up on MH4, so FFE is my alternative. Besides, my backlog is getting pretty large with RPGS/Strategy games.
