Topic: Problem with Harvest Moon Tale of Two Towns 3DS

I've been playing Harvest Moon ToTT 3DS the past day and I've noticed an issue. Every few in-game days when I'm changing screens up on the mountain (it actually seems to be going into the same screen each time, actually) the game just up and freezes. I can't even quit to the Home screen, I have to hard reset my 3DS. Then of course I lose that day's work in the game. It's very annoying and while it's not making the game unplayable, exactly, I literally tense up every time I walk to a different screen. So it's absolutely ruining the enjoyability of the game for me.

The strange thing is I bought it when it first came out and iirc I didn't have this issue at all (if I did, it must have been only once or twice and it didn't make an impression on me). Then I set it aside for several months and the first time I played it again it starts freezing on me.

Is this a known issue and is there any way to fix it? It's otherwise a very enjoyable game (in moderation, like all HM games) and I would hate to have to stop playing it, or buy a new cart and lose all my progress.

Basically, it's a memory issue. Quit out of the game and completely shut down your 3DS after every couple of in-game days, and that clears the memory.

That sounds like a freaking pain in the butt right there. I shouldn't have to shut down the 3DS all the time, I'm doing that anyway with the freezing. I did a Google search and I also found not to play the petting mini game. Really a game this simple shouldn't eat memory like it does. But thanks, at least I can still play now!

They never change do they? I guess that's what I like about them.

Give them 2 or 3 more Harvest Moon games until they get better at translating 3DS games.
