Topic: Nintendo shipping out fewer games?

So I went to a number of Gamestops looking for the new Kirby games and all of them were sold out then I went to a Target and they were out also and told me that they had already put in a couple of requests for the game without luck. They also said that Nintendo has been shipping fewer games to them in general of even the very poplar Pokémon series. I finally found a copy at Toys R Us, but it got me wondering why Nintendo seems to be pulling back with the amount of each title that they ship to stores. My only thought is they might be trying to create a scarcity in order to then send out more and increase sales? But even that doesn't make since the 3DS is a very profitable system. Anyone happen to know a reason?

I haven't notice anything like that over here.

I usually order my games online now-a-days though.

Store in general are getting less games shipped, mainly because of the popularity of online purchasing. Stores still get the big games but I don't think Kirby is a "big game" for stores.

Odd,around where i live even then local Ghetto Kmart had 6+ Copies of Kirby sitting on the shelf in a big cardboard display thing.

If you are truly worried, you should pre-order games. That way you most certainly will get a copy day 1
