Topic: Is Harvest Moon A New Beginning for the 3DS worth it?

So I recently bought a few Eshop cards and I've been thinking of getting a Harvest Moon Game for a while now. Is Harvest Moon A New Beginning worth the buy or if there is a different title that's worth buying instead?

If you want a true Harvest Moon game get Story of Seasons, that is the original Harvest Moon series.

I personally did not like it very much.

And yes, A New Beginning was made before the separation. It's not like every game with the Harvest Moon name became a "Natsume Original Game" after that.

Actually the gameplay is great.
But, for me personally, I don't like the character design nor even the 3D rendering for Boy / Girl characters. They have Square jaws if you look carefully and kinda weird to see their hand drawing style looks different with their 3D rendering.

I don't know why the illustrator keep maintain his/her art style like that until Trio of Town, the art style that I don't really like due to "Too Feminine" looking guys.
Let's compare with Magical Melody style from Gamecube.

Magical Melody art style was so cute. I prefer Magical Melody rather than A New Beginning.
But if you interested with A New Beginning art style, that game is for you.
Otherwise, you can try the Gamecube version.

Personally, I would recommend Rune Factory 4

I spend over 300hrs on this game and totally enjoyed it. It's not prefect but worth the money. Personally I prefer it to SOS, but since ANB is kinda an old HM compared to SOS Trio Town, my suggestion would be get Trio Town cos from what I've seen, it's more control friendly.
