Topic: ds3 cant add switch users

Hello,

Im trying to add friendcodes of switch users with my 3ds. I noticed the code of switch users is 14 digits long and my own 3ds friendcode has only 12. Does this mean its not possible for a 3ds user to add switch users ? A NNID shouldn't be recreated everytime i get a new nintendo console right?

Another problem i noticed is that non of the mobile nintendo apps allow me to link my NNID to the app. so neither mario run, Animal crossing or FE heroes can link to my NNID. They just link me back to the app and nothing happens.

Is it even possible to login with a 3ds NNID to a switch to play with your own mii?

There is a difference between "Not Possible" and "Not Willing", Nintendo seems not willing to do a lot of beneficial things for the Switch that they did for previous systems Bummer

They're two different systems with different games and infrastructures, there's no benefit to adding switch owners to your 3ds friend list.

It would be a useless feature.

Oke i can see that there is no point in adding switch users. But do i have to recreated a NNID when i buy a switch or can i keep using my own from my 3ds?

You can use the same account

@Yosheel that's only online for the Nintendo account but they will not connect.

@Yosheel Nintendo could have made our accounts unified - but that would have made too much sense. Need to have different Friend codes for everything!
