Why do we require two sections for downloadable games for the 3DS? What is the difference?

So vc games are eazyer to find. Seems pretty straight forward to me. What's your issue with it?

@faint I'm just trying to figure out what the difference is. What is Virtual Console? Would we classify Street Fighter 2 for example an eShop or Virtual Console game? We differentiate the two here, with two separate forum sections, but all download games on the 3DS are found in one place.

@Hey-Cha-La virtual console means the game is from a legacy system. Street fighter 2 was made for the Super Nintendo and that's the version you would be playing on the 3ds. Is the 3ds your first game device?

It's really easy, Virtual Console games are clearly marked as "Virtual Console" on the menu and the shop.

Another easy way to identify them is... Because they're old games from older consoles.
