Topic: Devil Survivor: Overclocked 3D Impressions

Ugh...reading this is making me want to fire this up again. But I working on Soul Hackers (which just became REALLY hard).

Man that sounds confusing. I want to see most of the story but I don't want to invest like 200 plus hours to do so.

Well at least you see most of your games through. How is it btw. I only played to the part to unlock street pass thus far.

Its good. the difficulty has been pretty even until the current dungeon but I think I just need to fuse better demons. In the end, if you like Atlus, you'll like the game.

I never got further than the dolphin boss in Soul Hackers. God, I hated him! Another character with an incredibly annoying voice, too.

I think I'm going to start focusing on one game at a time so I can actually beat the ones I start.

Yep, that's why I said Overclocked is not coming out of my system till I beat it! Too bad I can't say that about some games that are already on my system lol. If I want to play Fantasy Life I need to beat this game and that should be incentive enough.

Dolphin boss wasn't too hard. it started getting harder AFTER that. You should get back to it at some point.

He's not hard when you know how to kill him, but before that I was just chipping away at him with physical attacks since magic didn't seem to do anything...

I plan to. It is a very fun game. I love the grungy cyberpunk aesthetic. Reminds me a bit of Shadowrun.

Can anybody tell me if angry hit is stronger the power hit or even brutal hit of which I doubt that one. The critical hit has added benefits I know!

Oh and I forgot to say I'm using it primarily with marksman.

Who are you tanking? I made Atsuro my physical powerhouse last time, but I'm not sure how efficient he was in that regard.

I looked up the skill descriptions, and, well, read for yourself:

"Anger Hit: Guaranteed critical hit to one enemy, but 50% accuracy. "

I wouldn't worry about making space for a skill that inaccurate.

Yeah but I riding it with marksman which hits 100% of the time and yes I'm also tanking Atsuro. It also counts as a critical and can cancel out extra turns as well.

Actually, come to think of it, I'm pretty sure I was rocking angry hit and marksman at one point. It worked pretty well. Not sure why I didn't see that part of your post.

I would suggest not doing Amane's route, btw, until a NG+ playthrough.

I did Amane's route and beat the final boss very easily.

Route was a nightmare for me. One difficult boss after another. I only discovered later that it's one of those routes people recommend for NG+ when you've been through the game a time or two.

Well now you got me both scared and excited lol. Not sure the path thus far but I've been talking to her quite a bit and even connected with her lol.

Anyways just defeated Beldr last night and he was a pain both times I faced him. Totally forgot he calls everyone back to fight after you defeat them all. Plus I wasn't really set up to beat him anyways. The second time I just charged right at him. Not I have some really strong demons going into the fourth day!

I only struggled on Belberith. Jezebel was easy if you have Chaos Wave. Belzaboul wasn't that bad as long as you got rid of the swarms

So glad I started over! I'm getting more of a story out of this play through. My demons are a bit over powered thus far but I'm sure I'll hit a wall soon enough.

I've been liking the Atsuro story arc to this point and want to continue it as far as I can. I guess I should maybe make a second file here as things are really going to take off here. Trying not to stay attached to certain demons is still hard though but I've now noticed even at a few levels behind it doesn't matter how strong they are they get beat down in 2 shots at times so as soon as I see that they get fused!

On the 8th day of Amane's path, I fused two demons and got a Garuda with 38 Strength, Multi Attack and Pierce. He's killing every enemy team in one attack

The DS game stopped at day 7 so what does day 8 add? More story? After game? Without spoiling it of course. Plus dang, I'm only on day 4 and half way through at that.

It adds an extra day of content on both Amane's and Kaido's/Naoya's paths. Everyone else goes straight to NG+ though
