Fire Emblem Echoes is a remake of Gaiden.
There is a rumor of Super Star Saga being remade for 3DS.
Many are speculating that the new multi-player Kirby game will be a remake of Kirby and the Amazing Mirror.
If all of these turn out to be true then a good chunk of Nintendo's first party output on 3DS will be remakes this year. It almost seems as if all of the 3DS teams who finished games in 2016 were told to make a quick turn around game for 3DS in order to help with the 2017 line-up.
FE Fates team goes on to make Echoes.
Paper Jam team moves on to Super Star Saga DX
Planet Robobot Team moves on the Kirby multiplayer title
Add to that the fact that both Ever Oasis and Hey! Pikmin were made by contract studios and think the big picture is that most (90%) of Nintendo's internal talent is committed to Switch development and the rest of their 3DS output will be churned out as cheaply as possible.
I do not mind remakes at all, but it does not look good for 3DS getting any more big, original games from Nintendo. Even if Pokémon Stars is on 3DS it will be a variation on Sun/Moon which was cheap and quick to turn around.
Except for Pokemon, I wouldn't expect many more unannounced remakes. The 3DS is really old for a console, so I'd expect the Switch to be the main focus going forward.
Honestly, I'd love this just because Nintendo can spend more time working on Switch releases than keeping a years-old system alive with brand-new and exciting releases.
I don't think we'll get a flood, but there will be low budget projects. They won't kill the 3DS just yet, when they have a 60+ million install base and the Switch still has supply problems.
