I didn't like some design decisions of the remake. I found the introduction of the insect character that guides the party very detrimental to the sense of wonder and exploration the original have, and it's by far my biggest pet-peeve until now. I can't help but wonder if I'm too old to play RPGs, as these decisions (along with some others like cutting off the puzzles of the introduction, less grind...) seems like a way to attract a younger audience who doesn't necessarily appreciate the mistery of unravelling the story and the world, one detour from the main route at a time, and that preffer to identify the next objective right away.
I didn't like EO:U 1 & 2 that much, I didn't really dig into the grimoire mechanic and the story mode (could've played on Classic after that, but never had the time when others games came). I'll wait and be aware of annoying mechanics before buying tyis one if it ever came to the west...
@ultramega_ok I sent the developer an email with the same concerns, and they did answer (fairly quickly) that the 3DS version has a "Hard" difficulty which is the Android version default, but also an easier "Normal" setting. They also told me the slimes don't have "Fatigue" in the 3DS version, so you can use them whenever you want.
Now I'm thinking in purchasing it on the eshop even though I've already quite far on the Android version... Haha
@LFiM You're right, I failed to mention the music and art design, which is great indeed (although I still prefer Chrono Trigger's music and art design). Still, I wasn't able to enjoy Chrono Cross (precisely after the Dead Sea) because of the story.
I really like Chrono Trigger, it's one of the best jRPGs there is, but I can't understand the love for Chrono Cross past the first few hours of gameplay. The story is a convoluted mess! By the end, I even thought I had been playing an unfinished version of the game.

Re: Square Enix Wants to Hear Your Questions About Dragon Quest VII
Is that pink little guy dressed as an insect as shown in the upper left corner of the box art a playable character? If not, why?

Re: Video: Here's Some More Footage of The Legend of Legacy
Personally I'm glad the story isn't so deep, as I don't appreciate Masato Kato's previous works.
