Missing the best roguelite: Splatoon 3 Side Order. I know it's a DLC and not a standalone game, but the game mechanics if Splatoon are so solid. Adding a ton of unique enemies, levels, power ups, bosses makes it soooo fun. Once you beat the game, trying to do a run with no hacks (permanent buffs) turned on was a great challenge, too. Nothing but praise.

Man, I hate it when someone says "don't use my stuff!" And then they have the audacity to go and use that very same stuff themselves! Hypocrisy much? /s

Is the author of this article seriously calling consoles that are already released "next gen"? They are current gen. They're already out. And for that matter, next gen isn't a term to describe the power of a device, but the timeline of it's release. The expected switch 2 is next gen because it isn't out yet, even if it is weaker on release than the current gen consoles. Do words have meaning anymore? Why is a Nintendo-centric site promoting a narrative that Nintendo can't be next gen (or the same generation as PS5 and Xbox Series)?

Have we gotten to the point that games journalists literally didn't know what an adventure game is? Metroidvania is just a cute name for the adventure-platformer genre. If you take away the platformer then it's just adventure. Well, I guess action-adventure is more descriptive for this game (same as Zelda).

I feel disappointed in gamers. Gonna go cry and feel old.

Little King's Story is so good. Go play it and then come back and edit this article to take it's cows out of the honorable mentions.

Does this look to anyone else like it was inspired by Super Buster Bros. a.k.a. Pang? I love that series of games so this has me pretty excited.
