@Rykdrew Wargroove is NOT a 1:1 replacement for Advance Wars. I want modern, mechanized warfare, not knights and castles. WG insist on making this argument, its like telling a Call of Duty fan that Elden Ring is the same thing.
@sanderev I find it strange that Advance Wars is given this stigma because of real-world events, but no such stigma is given to the endless amount of other violent shooters and combat games. Call of Duty doesn't get this much flak, and its basically Pentagon-approved propaganda pretending to be a game at this point
@Lylat I dont understand the obsession with Wargroove. WG is not a fill-in for Advance Wars. I want my strategy to have jets, battleships and tanks, not knights and trebuchets.
I have poured many dozens of hours into Railway Empire on PC and will be buying it day one for my Switch. Its a pretty great game if you grew up playing Railroad Tycoon or Sid Meier's Railroads.
@RadioShadow Tiny Metal is close, but not quite there. If they would add naval units, ammo/fuel, APCs and commanders it would be an extremely good modern substitute
@Pazuzu666 I couldn't disagree more. The fantasy setting of Wargroove does nothing for me. I want tanks, battleships and fighters not knights and catapults. I have never understood why AW fans think this game fills that itch.

@VideoGameBoy nobody uses "latinx" except white liberals. Actual Latinos hate that term

Re: Review: Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp - A Pair Of Strategy Gems Delightfully Reimagined
@Joker1234 I definitely pre-ordered for that reason. I will have a lifelong grudge against Fire Emblem for taking attention away from AW

Re: Battle Worlds: Kronos Brings 60 Hours Of Turn-Based Strategy Gameplay To Switch
@Reignmaker cause it has tanks, battleships and jets instead of dragons and spearmen?
