I am happy to hear this news because it paves the way for better micro sd cards. This card is a start now its just a matter of time before we start seeing this size plus speed increases. The nature of technology and all that moving forward. I am using the sandisk 200 gb card and have no idea what its speed is but it seems acceptable to me for the time being.

it looks like a clone of megaman. it will be interesting to see if they can avoid the copyright gods on this one.

Just to be clear do you only have to completely shut down once after you install it or every time you want to play. If its just the once I will download the game because 10 second load time is acceptable to me.

@GravyThief yeah really. the price is too high too. I can get a snes clone that looks exactly like a snes that plays snes cartridges that is brand new for 40 usd on ebay. 90+ dollars for that is stupid money.

I know it doesn't bother many people but the "popping" when enemies just appear in your face out of nowhere is extremely jarring and ruins the gameplay for me. This popping is present in zelda hyrule warriors and it sucks. I am not new to hack and slash but wow are these warrior games repetitive. Oh look here comes 30 of the exact same enemy that popped in from nowhere and has virtually 0 chance of ever killing me. It's sooo boring.

Well Looks like 2017 is the year to focus on the switch and drop the 3ds like a hot turd. Not a single VC game for 3 months going into april. All nintendo cares about is the switch. RIP 3ds

I was excited until I realized most of the games I want is japan only for several months. Lots of games we already had elsewhere. Well I guess this will be like the 3ds where I will have to wait 2 years or so before it's worth buying. Is nintendo supporting this thing only see zelda and mario kart 8 rerelease with mario at the end of the year.

way to go nintendo. I bet it was worth saving those 13 cents to go from a glass screen to plastic. ::rolleyes.

kinda pointless to buy one of these and do this when you can just buy a rasberry pi and run nes/snes/tg16/genesis/gba games on the cheap. It would be smaller and easier to get.

I don't think the 3ds will survive much longer. They say the switch wasn't meant to replace mobile gaming is BS. It unifies home console and portable gaming. If it wasn't meant to replace 3ds then they should have never made the switch a tablet. I won't be investing in the switch right away there simply isnt enough games to satisfy me to deem it worth it. I will cheer on all those that do though.

I love the idea of cartridges coming back. If the cartridge had a (soldered) microsd card on it for storage you could store more game data then a disk but have a cartridge form. 4, 8 , and 16 gb microsd cards are cheap as hell to make.

A Mario game with live video footage would have been sooo bad. Even if educational. That is a terrible idea.
