Re: Review: Pearl Harbor Trilogy - 1941: Red Sun Rising (WiiWare)

I have played this and Sky Crawlers, and I have to say I prefer Sky Crawlers, although I am comparing a retail game to a download. While I do like both, Sky Crawlers being retail allows it to have a lot that Pearl Harbor doesn't. From multiple difficulties to 20 planes with I think 4 or 5 colors each. Although Red Sun Rising has also left me quite impressed, especially for wiiware. So if you're looking to buy one of them, I'd say get both, especially since they're both pretty cheap.

Re: Miyamoto Confirms Pikmin 3

I'm hoping for a Wii version. If it were DS, I would likely not find the controls and graphics anywhere near as appealing as the console games. Of course, that would only be if it's the same style as the other 2.

Re: First Impressions: Metroid: Other M

I'm not sure how I feel about this game. I've read in other impressions that you switch into morph ball by pressing A, which sounds awkward. I also read that the voice acting for Samus is emotionless. On the flip side, apparently you can dodge around enemies while in 2D mode. So while in 2D, you can still take advantage of 3D. I kinda like the idea of switching between third and first person. So as long as it feels Metroid, I should like it. So I can't wait to try it out.

Wow, 50 stages... /me nearly drowns in saliva

I'm starting to wonder if this is going to cost more than 600 points. Unless they split the length of their average 3 levels into 50 micro-levels, it seems likely it will be a bit longer than the previous games.

I totally agree with the review. I feel the poor controls really lower the fun and quality of this game. Sure, you may get used to the controls eventually, but that still doesn't make 'em any less crappy. Nor does it make up for all of those times where I try to attach x to y and instead maxwell jumps into a pool of lava. I give this game an 8.

Re: New Wii Zelda Won't Be Radically Different, Says Miyamoto

I do want some changes to zelda, but still want the classic formula. What Miyamoto said is a little vague, he could be talking about story or graphics, or gameplay when he says it won't be radically different. But I don't think he's talking about gameplay because I remember reading an interview with him not that long back saying that currently they are strictly working on the gameplay, trying to get it just right. Which would suggest they are trying something new because they are taking so much time on it, but then again that could just be implementing Wii M+
