How are the Wii U HD ports ranking lower than the originals - not only do they have much improved visuals - they make gameplay and enjoyment improvements..likewise the 2 Switch remasters (Skyw Sw and Links A) are much better games than the originals
I appreciate that these games are hard.. I enjoyed the Wii U Super meat boy, celeste, Ori games etc.. But right from the first level this is a frustrating on rails "deathathon" where you're constantly thown into spikes etc. Why couldn't they at least make the first few levels a bit more fun and introduce you to the game mechanics a bit. I only paid about £2 for this on switch but didnt enjoy it at all
The slowdown on this Wii U version is horrendous - sloppy port..play it on something else.. Didnt find it much fun despite this - doesnt feel very much like you;re in control of much
Console sales being down is expected - during the pandemic people had to spend time indoors, separated from people and gaming is a good fit for that. This year people want to spend there time outdoors and at festivals etc rather than sitting in their living room
@demacho The Mobipad M6 is better than the Hori and has all those features.. Its a little bit more £ but not much. The binbok option also same - but the shoulder buttons were a little unresponsive for me. Yes the Hori is nice in handheld mode but there are better products out there. I personally use a pro controller with clip in handheld mode
@WanzerAce They work ok - but do you think its right that they ship it lacking in features. You cant even use them as a second pro controller. Companies only get away with this because people wrongly defend the product and buy it when it could be so much better. If no one bought it - then theyd release one with the full feature set. Sick of people blindly defending Nintendo
Lacking in features - no means to disconnect and use as a separate controller (no wireless), no rumble, no motion controls.. ESSENTIAL FEATURES you can find in competitors products. They only remove these features to make more profit on the controllers..no other reason. You really shouldnt be promoting them Nintendolife
I dont understand this review - this game is one of the best racing games on the Wii - yes the graphics are a bit last gen compared to the HD consoles but theyre servicable. The gameplay is def there. The handling, speed and skill req to put it all together make this a fun game. You should play it more before writing it off also - once you unlock the better cars and move to later courses its a really fun game.
Fast racing Neo / RMX is a better game than any F-Zero and underappreciated on both Wii U and Switch. The N64 game is more fun than the Gamecube version - which has twitchy controls and is too fast and nausea inducing to be enjoyable
Graphically this game is actually up there with some of the best on Wii U - its a genuine next gen title. Ive only played through a couple of levels so far but the mechanics are fun and work well. Seems like a bit of a hidden gem to me

Re: Review: Ori And The Blind Forest: Definitive Edition - An Unmissable Experience
Its nice to see this on Switch - but its a 6yr old game that costs £3.99 on steam. Why is it £14.99 to download Nintendo?
Re: Review: Horizon Chase Turbo - A Worthy Successor To Sega's Out Run
Nice pickup for £3.50 on the eshop today
