@ningeek185 A piece of advanced hardware you won´t be able to use unless you spend extra 60 quid on a game. It´s not about the price; it´s about a really bad decision.
One might feel sorry for Reggie. I´m sure NOA had no say whatsoever in the development of the Switch. Of course his arguments are not holding up. WiiPlay was abysmal and like the writer stated, it would´ve been no hassle at all to have 12Switch preinstalled.
I assume 12Switch is not interesting for Nintendo fanboys (such as me) OR the casual audience. It´s too damn expensive. The console is 330 EUROS over here plus 45 for 12Switch. No thanks.
My plans are to get BotW for WiiU and Mass Effect for XBONE. That should have me covered until the holiday season for Mario Odyssey and hopefully for a price drop, when the Switch performs badly.
I want them to succeed, but that presentation was just terrible.
The presentation as a whole (not necessarily the console) was super disappointing. At least from a western point of view. Crutial information, that could have worked as some sort of positive catalyst was none existent. Online features were quickly brushed over. In 2017... !!! I can and will not believe that the console can not perform things like groups, lobbies, voice chat etc natively but it has to be done by a smart device app. That would be (for me) disastrous and a huge turn off. The focus on the Joycons (and their outrageous price) is Nintendo stepping back into gimmicks that so far NONE of the 3rd party studios have promoted during the presentation. They are overpriced and I worry that after 12 months no one will actually use their special features in their games. I stuck with Nintendo even when they have screwed their fanbase over and over. I am easily infected by enthusiasm and positivity. I bought almost all their first party games on the WiiU. I was standing in Line to get a NES Mini. I defended even the most ridiculous decisions (YouTube, shortages, behind competition on every level and so on and so forth) Please, Nintendo, show us in the next 6 weeks that it is worth it to stand in line again. So far I´ll wait until E3 before I commit.
I would love to give Nintendo a pass on that one but I can't. It's too little too late. Not sure however what were the factors for smb being so late on this system. These things needed to happen much faster. I mean seriously, how can you have a multi million seller like mine craft so late on your system? I'm really pessimistic about Nintendo's future. It's just too many things they have to get right until March. Concept Line up Proper Online capabilities Industry standard account system (I will never buy ALTTP or SMW again!!) Cross play (not knowing what the new system is about though) Region free Proper 3rd party support
If they even lacking behind one of these things due to the usual Nintendo quirkiness they will, unlike the WiiU, getting trashed in video game media. They have to be up to standard. Heck a long time ago they have been the standard.

Re: Yes, You Can Charge Your Nintendo Switch In Tabletop Mode
That´s actually a good thing and I believe the guys from Hori do not necessary overprice their stuff.

Re: Poll: What Did You Think of the Nintendo Switch Presentation?
@gigoloaunt7 I would not go so far by saying it´s Nintendo´s swansong but I agree with the rest of your statement.
Super dissapointed. This was even worse than the 2013 XBOX ONE show. And that was the worst poo I´ve ever seen.
Re: Poll: What Did You Think of the Nintendo Switch Presentation?
@Li_Bae I´m with you on that one, mate.

I apologise for venting.
