As a new Switch owner, I now realize that Nintendo Players just prefer different kind of games. I am surprise that an indi game like golf story is the best selling game on the e-shop right now, and fifa, which is one of the best selling games every year is on 10th place. This just tells me that nintendo fans have a difference taste and prefer smaller indi games over bigger third party games. As great as golf story is, I cannot see a game like that beating Fifa on sales on xbox or PS4 platforms.
This is kind of disappointing. I quit Nintendo after Game Cube, but got the switch and I think is a great system(Zelda and Splatoon 2 have consumed a lot of my time). I was hoping for several big budget third party games to come to the switch. I don't mind the lower graphics. I bought Fifa 18 on Switch instead of my PS4, but the game really depends of a large player base to be fun. Ultimate team, which is the most popular game mode, needs a large player based because of the trading of cards involved. It seems it won't happen on switch.
