If I had to guess it will be a new console with a focus on AR. This seems to be the only tech out there that with enough effort and development put into it can yield some solid results in gaming. Titles like Pokémon Go already trained the consumer, so the concept not completely foreign. Can you imagine a pikmin game that you can play in your room or your house? Or maybe even single player Splatoon with your living room as the battle stage that needs colouring? Don’t get me wrong, some RnD and top notch development will need to be done to optimize the AR algorithm to make sure they not w***y, but done right I can see playing Mario jumping on peoples couches to tv sets and so on, and that just in house experience, the outdoor opens even more opportunities. It’s a big step up but if done right nintendo once again can be the first to create its own lane in gaming once again.
I don’t know what people expected, this is nintendo we talking about for god sake. They are known to not change the formula, not even upgrade the graphics to current standards. In fact let’s be honest, you do what they do long enough (fall behind) you wake up one day not knowing basic 2022 game development stuff like draw distance rendering, proper battle animations and dynamic and populated world. It’s just the reality.
I hope they bring in voice chat , and ability to team up with friends in ranked. It’s a common thing today to play with friends and have some voice chat, they have to add it as this point in 2022.

Re: Poll: It's The Year Of Splatoon 3 - Are You Excited?
@ArmenianJedi13 I don’t understand, what did you expect? Considering Mario and Zelda are pretty much the same formula every game.

Honestly not a huge Sonic fan but this looks amazing, the colour and level of polish looks interesting.
