Re: Video: UK Ambassadors Give Their Verdict On The New Nintendo 3DS

I love mine, I also got the ambassador edition. The 3d is much better, c-stick is great and especially useful in smash bros, screen improved and everything is much faster.

My one snag is the screws on the back cover plate require a size 0 Philips screwdriver or you'll strip them and will not be able to easily get them off- happened to me and damaged the smash bros plates and GAME have also had this issue with their in store ones.

@Quorthon Either way it doesn't help that Youtube still has a very grey area when it comes to copyright and such, but I agree on lowering the percentage. I imagine 'official' channels could include those such as 'WiiFolderJosh'.

Yeah he has several but his current main one is -> https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2zIyveI3dcYG1h5p0tI2fA
Then his semi-active 3ds one -> https://www.youtube.com/user/latest3dsgames/channels

@Quorthon Yeah I know it's very rare I was namely thinking of the minoriy like Pewdiepie and the likes of Jenna Marbles sorry I should've made that clear. Like I said the whole thing has positives and negatives and my uncle had to switch from Nintendo to Sony gameplay to continue making some kind of profit. However I'm sure by the end of the BETA stage they might come to some kind of compromise.

Right or wrong the point is that Pewdiepie makes in excess of over 4 MILLION a year - he can afford to slip Nintendo to the bottom of this list. For other youtubers as someone said above, youtube rewards those who are most successful, those who are less known can now benefit in some way through this new programme. At the end of the day Nintendo could or couldn't ask for 30-40% of profit made and as old fashioned it may seem they have every right to do so- it's just how they work. It has positives and negatives but youtubers who make millions or thousands probably shouldn't be complaining; at the end of the day though as this is all in a BETA stage, their feedback is relevant.

Re: Weirdness: These Push Guards for the New Nintendo 3DS Will Stop Game Cards From Popping Out

anem0ne

After using the ambassador new 3ds for a few days I can see how these would be useful as it would make sense for the cartridge to accidentally pop out on occasion. However if it's anything like the screws on the back cover plate it wouldn't surprise me if it broke after a couple of uses. (The back cover plate screws seem to have some issues that resulted in my back smash plate being unusable).

Re: Talking Point: The New Nintendo 3DS Could Be a Huge Success, But Its Route to Release Has Been Rocky

As a European in the UK obviously our market works very differently and contains different audiences however I do stress how popular preorders for the regular 3ds have been. A lot of people I know, family, friends and myself have preordered one and if it hadn't been for the faceplates I wouldn't have bothered since I have the pikachu xl. NOA have their reasons respectively but equally giving the option of choice is important. However it seems our regular 3ds - while not selling more than the xl, seems to have sold more. The faceplates are quirky and add uniqueness to the device and it's user plus I have actually imported a couple from Japan too whilst excitedly waiting for the release on Feb 13th. That being said, my partner who lives in America owns the xl currently and plans to move straight onto the 'new' xl whilst he says the xl is popular among his circle of friends. Whether NOA has made a business decision based on numbers or surveys is irrelevant, they must've felt the market wasn't enough at the current time to warrant a release for the standard but I think it's still a little unfair and people have a right to be disappointed. I have signed petitions for the regular one to be released over there, as it seems many people are very keen for it. I wouldn't worry too much though, as I'm sure they'll see there is a bigger market for it than they thought and release later in the year!
