Re: Nintendo's Claim to WiiU.com is Denied

Zantagor

It might not have been a cybersquatting site in 2004, but right now, it is.
There's no content on that page right now aside a phony site that's fed from dubious search engines. Even worse, the 3rd link is "Download Nintendo WII Games" which downright promotes piracy.

I still don't get how the hell WIPO would not take Nintendo side for such an obvious squatting site.

They definitively didn't side with Apple UK instead of Apple, or itunes.uk.co (which existed years before itunes even came to existance)

To me, it just sounds like WIPO didn't do their job correctly on that one.

@Grodus That's pretty ignorant of you there. Let's see... a game series like Super Robot Taisen are usually pretty solid titles. But because of the nightmare of licenses these games holds, they never come out here, and the only way to play them is to import them. What about Ouendan 1 & 2, Jump Super Stars, heck, One Piece Gigante Battle never came to the US, but got released in Europe.

For anyone wondering about La Mulana for wiiware, it looks like Nicalis really dropped the ball on that. Their complete silence about it for the past 4 month shows just how much they lack professionalism as publishers. Even Nigoro currently have no idea what's going on since they gave the final version to NoA and NoE, and didn't hear anything from Nicalis at all.

At least Nigoro wisened up and dropped Nicalis for the PC version and are publishing it themselves.
http://la-mulana.com/en/blog/report-2.html

So in all, Nicalis is now another publisher to add on my boycott list from now on.

Well, so much for that rumour from some german website about La-Mulana coming out in April 26th.
Nicalis is seriously starting to act like some of the douchiest indie publishers out there at this point, why the hell are they so damn silent about the game? They kept hyping up Cave Story, VVVVVV, etc. but nothing about La-Mulana. Are they the publishers or not?

Re: Nicalis Expects VVVVVV to Reach Europe in Early May

And what about La Mulana? I think this is one of the games people are really waiting for. Seriously, I'm starting to think of Nicalis as some of the worse publishers out there for indie devs. Sure, they release good games, but their public figures are quite lacking. La Mulana was supposed to be done, complete, ready, and sent to Nintendo back on Dec 26 2011..... we are now April 17th 2012. La Mulana's blog hasn't been updated since 2011, Nicalis are completely ignoring any inquiries about the game. What the hell is going on with it?

Re: Nintendo Download: 12th April 2012 (North America)

Like I said last week, NoA didn't waste time into reverting into Wiiware's past couple of years' territory of lameness. And with that, Where the hell is La-Mulana? Both Nigoro and Nicalis has been completely silent since DECEMBER, when they said the game was finished, and soon to be released by Nintendo? .... so WTF?

Re: Nintendo Download: 12th April 2012 (Europe)

Zantagor

Wish there was a way to know what the hell is Nicalis/Nigoro doing about La-Mulana, they're been completely silent about it since December, saying the game was complete, and sent to nintendo. They don't answer their twitter, they don't answer emails about it either. What the hell's going on there? :/

Re: EU VC Releases - 2nd May - The Hanabi Festival Returns!

Zantagor

I can't believe our european friends are still whining even though they're getting so much importations. Us? We got like 2 or 3, we didn't even get Mario Picross Seriously, lately NOA have been given us the shaft VC wise, I think the last time I bought something on VC was like in october or something.

Re: EU VC Releases - 9th November - Super Mario Bros 3

Euh.... people... that glitch existed in the ORIGINAL SMB3 cart on the real NES, I poped it out to verify this myself. The issue is more glaring with the more recent TV Screen which don't have the rounded kind of effect old TV's had back then. But it's still there, lots of the later NES games had those issues with clipping at the edges. Crystalis is another one of them.

It just looks a lot worst because new TVs don't really have the same type of screen as older ones.

Re: Neutopia II

Like Neutopia 1, it does use the File Cabinet (save files), so no need to use the passwords.

You can always use the suspend play too.
