@MamaSymphonia plenty of business have increased their profit margins over time, or taken advantage of economic circumstances to price things a little higher than necessary. Just look at supermarkets, US drug makers that increased some of their products by 300%, Adobe, Nvidia. With AI bubble some companies have just increased their prices and cut out consumers completely, going only for corporate sales.
When you have a captive market, or a limited one, there have always been companies who stretch it out to their advantage both during and after any economic justification they can find. Companies having record profits but needing to increase their prices (inly to have record profits again) is opportunistic.
Just because you were never taught something in highschool doesn't mean it can't, won't or doesn't already exist.
