Just leaving a note that as of right now, the performance patch still has not arrived on the Switch. It has been submitted by the developers (since before the public release even), hence the confusion, but while it has been accepted and published by both Microsoft and Sony at this point, Nintendo is still running behind. The current software version on the Switch is 1.0.6; once that changes you'll know you have actually updated.
@Bunkerneath To my knowledge the physical release hasn't been officially announced yet, but sites like this are basing that partly on listings appearing on Amazon Spain and Germany:
So I think it's safe to expect any physical release will be worldwide, right now. I also anticipate some more first-hand information from the developers/publisher later today, that will hopefully clear up any questions.
@Bunkerneath The game was originally developed in English (by a German indie studio) so no worries there. This announcement makes it sound like Dangen Entertainment is the publisher but it's more accurate to call them the Japanese distributor and localization team.
